  • Employee and Producer Owner Giving Program (CHSPAC)

    People connecting with policy

Since its founding in 1999, the CHS Political Action Committee (CHSPAC) has been active and effective in employee and owner-led political action. Our ongoing effectiveness depends on having the funds to support our advocacy work as we establish and increase the needed dialogue with elected officials and candidates. This dialogue is more important than ever, because issues affecting agriculture are increasing in number and complexity.

Advocacy is everywhere! Our member-led initiative brings the CHS voice to the forefront of policymaking, providing opportunities to support and engage with policymakers who influence the decisions that impact agriculture, the cooperative system and rural America.

    Benefits of CHSPAC membership

The CHSPAC hosts engagement events throughout the year as a way to encourage participation and thank existing members. During the year, the CHSPAC and local facility management will consider holding additional in-person or virtual events for CHSPAC members at our facilities across the United States. These CHSPAC benefit events would be developed to align with the number of CHSPAC members at a facility and to cover topics relevant to those CHSPAC members. Additionally, the CHSPAC will offer special events and activities in Washington, DC.
